One example is the <strong>Botanical Garden<\/strong>, which was originally part of a monastery in the early 19th century. The garden, now owned by <strong>Tver University<\/strong>, currently houses <strong>350 species<\/strong> of plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs, attracting <strong>25,000 visitors<\/strong> each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The city also has a rich religious heritage, mainly associated with the <strong>Eastern Orthodox Christianity<\/strong> branch. For instance, you can visit the <strong>Church of St. Michael of Tver<\/strong>, a fine example of traditional Orthodox architecture. There is a small cargo port located at the lower part of the Volga River.
